Discussion of threats to Construct validity–this assignment is a bit different from the others in that I believe it’s harder to identify threats to construct validity in real studies. So I’m going to ask you to describe a study and tell how the particular threat could be operating. The threat to describe is “Treatment Diffusion” and then describe a study from your review and tell how this type of threat might be operating in your study. Put the hypothetical threat in brackets unless you are identifying this as an actual threat that did occur. Part II: Please address “novelty and disruption effects” threat by giving an example of a study and an actual or [hypothetical threat to that study].
