[SOLVED] Greek Philosophical Inquiry

Write an essay that critically engages one of the primary tenets of Greek philosophical inquiry, as seen in its origins (or earliest extant voicings), historical and genealogical development, and/or detailed activity and practice. What does it mean to do philosophy as the Greeks give evidence for doing it and what is at stake in that undertaking? Your account should be based on a comprehensive and consistent view of what philosophical practice means and symbolizes according to at least two Pre-Socratic thinkers, Plato, Sophocles OR Homer, and Aristotle. In other words, compose a critical account of what it means to do philosophy according to the evidence and models set forth by your chosen thinkers and/or texts. Be sure you are argumentatively responsible and take on one and just one clearly articulated, discussed, and visualized idea, not two or three or many such ideas. Use Greek terms where appropriate or necessary. When writing the essay please make sure to write about only two of the listed pre-socratic thinkers: Plato, Sophocles, Homer, and Aristotle. The whole of the essay should be focused on one main idea and should have greek terms used when necessary. Books to pull from for quotes are Aristotle’s Nichomachean Ethics, Homer’s Odyssey, Plato’s Republic, and Sophocles’ The Oedipus Cycle. (Depending on which two philosophers are chosen obviously).
